The rumour related to Samsung's long awaited Galaxy F refuses to
die. Serial leaker, @evleaks has posted unreleased press images of the
long rumoured Samsung Galaxy F. A couple of days ago, he had posted
images of the same device in gold, but this time around it's in the
crystal clear colour. Previously, the Galaxy F has also been known as
the Galaxy S5 Prime.
The
Galaxy F is expected to have a 'premium' metal chassis in stark
contrast to the criticised plastic body of the Galaxy S5. A more
powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU, 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear
camera with OIS and also a QXVGA 2,560x1,440 pixels screen similar to
the LG G3 and the Oppo Find 7. It will likely also have water resistance
and dust proofing. In addition to this, @evleaks has posted
photos of the Google Play edition (GPE) of the Galaxy S5. The Google
Play edition devices feature a stock Android user interface like
Google's Nexus line of smartphones. For these phones, Google pushes out
software updates and not the smartphone manufacturer.
Google started the GPE program at last years Google I/O, with the Samsung Galaxy S4 being the first smartphone. So, it is only natural that Samsung is working with Google developing a GPE version of the Galaxy S5.
